Well, I think it's time for a new journal. It's been quite a few months since Mana died... I'm still not over it, though I have tried to move on. We got a new cat right after she died (though I wondered if that was a mistake), and she's not as good as Mana (I don't think that will ever be possible) but she is still a sweety. I named her Tex (kinda after Tex from RvB), and when we first got here she was skinny and dirty, and really really scared! She was supposed to have been in a foster home... but I'm not too sure of the quality of it... the first week she spent hidden under beds or behind things, it was sad. She was afraid of our other cat and noises and everything! Now she still jumps sometimes, but she's a silly girl.

Actually, one time I was coming down the hall and she was eating in the side laundry room... I must have scared her, because she ran to the end of the room while peeing, she was so freaked! Somethings just set her off weirdly, poor baby. she's gotten plump and fairly clean since shes been with us, but she always seems to have a scruffy quality to her.

Anyway... not much else going on, though I haven't really done anything creative since Mana died. The scanner isn't working anyway, so it's not that big a deal. But haven't arted, stopped cross-stitching... everything. I actually can't really think about Mana without crying still... I have to like, double-think not to. Tex is a great cat, but she has some issues, and she can never really replace what Mana was to me. I don't think anything will ever be able to do that.
